** Though currently PMP exam is not covering Agile as part of the test, as a project manager it’s highly recommend to understand the agile methodologies and learn to work in Hybrid environments. To answer your question , learning from agile guide is not mandatory for the exam but good to learn for the real time project management.

  1. Week1 to Week3  : Start with HeadFirst . HeadFirst helps you to understand the coverage and scope of PMP exam, until you complete the head first. Do all the exercises from the headfirst and read explanation for all the questions , including the questions that you answered correctly. By the time you complete this book expecting you to know the scope of PMP exam and PMI terminology.  Remember while preparing you can listen and watch the videos of  Joseph Philips when you travel, when you walk and when ever possible.
  2. Week4 to Week5: Read Rita Mulcahy book completely . Do all the exercises from the Rita Mulcahy and read explanation for all the questions , including the questions that you answered correctly. Don’t forget to keep the PMBOK handy as a reference to clarify your doubts . Remember while preparing you can listen and watch the videos of  Joseph Philip when you travel, when you walk and when ever possible.   3. Week6 to the Examination Date : Read complete Rita Book again parallel to the practice exams . Practice Rita Mulcahy Exam Simulator exams Process Group wise, Knowledge areas wise. Read explanation to all the questions. Finally two days before the examination take 2 full length practice tests and read explanation to all the questions, this is final chance to you to fill the gaps.
  4. Couple of days before examination date: Take good rest one day before the examination date and good sleep is must. Don’t try to learn new concepts in the last minute, just try to build a nice flow in the mind with the concepts that you learnt. Don’t worry if you are unable to recollect ITTOs as PMI is not going to test your memory of ITTOs, but the concepts of subject matter.
